Default ATF Synthetic, Synthetic Motor Oil

Last weekend I switched my sequoia over to synthetic motor oil and synthetic ATF, I used the Mobil 1 multi-vehicle formula. I did the swap through the transmission cooler. I pulled out about 16 quarts and replaced with 16 quarts. Do I check the tranny fluid while it is in neutral or in park?

When I swtiched the motor oil, I accidently grabbed 10W-30 syn, instead of 5W-30. Even though it has only been a week or two should I pull it and replace with 5W?

thanks

i would run it to next oil change and not worry about it! i would be more concerned i put the correct tranny fluid in that tranny, this issue caused a lotta tranny problems around your era truck! they changed the tranny fluid specs and had people putting in whatever they thought would work which did not work? even dealers were using wrong specd fluids! hard to imagine i know!
I see where this fluid is specd for trannys using DEXII or III so if your manual says it is ok for those you have no worry, allways check fluid with tranny hot and in park engine running unless that has been changed but i do not think so and i would work the tranny thru the gears just before ya check the level!

The difference between 5w-30 and 10w-30 is miniscule (2-3 cST). It could be -20F and I still wouldnt worry about.

The manual says to use 5w-30 in most cases but you can use 10w-30. It's fine - I try to stick with the 5w but I use 10w if that's all I can find at walmart. Changed over to Castrol syntec at about 80k miles and the truck has been running great.
