Default Anybody installed an AVIC-Z series nav?

I just received my Pioneer Avic-Z3. I just wanted to know if somebody had installed one on their Sequoia. Thanks.

I got the Pioneer Avic Z3. I had a question about the installation of a Z3 to a Sequoia. Wanted to know if this thing works well with sequoia's. How's your Alpine W205? how do you like it? is there a bypass for that nav?

do you plan on keeping the stock jbl amp? if so, then you will need a special interface/wire harness as the stereo in 2005+ sequoia's send a digital "turn on" signal to the amp. cost me about $75 from autotoys.com. i love my w205 and yes, i have a bypass for the nav. and dvd playback. works awesome.

Ahh, I have a question. Were you able to keep your steering wheel controls. I'd like to go this route but if we loose the steering wheel controls, the wife (and I suppose me) aren't going to go that route. Would probably go with a nice Garmin, but I would prefer a clean look over a large external GPS hanging around the dash.

Thanks.

yes, i was able to keep the factory steering wheel controls. i bought a pac swp-alp device. i had to cut 3 wires on 1 of the oem plugs and also solder in a 150ohm resistor and then program it. very easy to do and had it working in less than 5 minutes. instructions that were provided were great and easy to follow.
