Default Window glass popping noise fix

Just an FYI. I was having a horrible popping noise coming from the glass on the drivers side whenever the window went up or down. It sounded like the glass was about to break.

I took the door panel off (fish the switch panel through the hole so you can leave it attached and use it.)

Turns out the glass is mounted to the regulator with only two small 10mm bolts. They were both loose. I used a little loctite and tightened them and the window is perfect again.

The point is.... if you are in the door for any reason, you might want to check the bolts, tighten them and/or give them some threadlocker.

Hmm I might have a very slight case of this. Do you know if you have to remove the entire door panel to replace the speaker, or can you j ust pop off the speaker cover?

Yes you have to remove the whole door panel. Easy though. Open the door and from the left to right (on drivers side) there are:
2 clips push in and pull out, 1 screw in armrest, 1 screw in handle, remove bezel by prying above and below handle, 1 screw under a cap up front, then put a big taped flathead under the bottom edge and pry and pull. Unplug 2 wiring harnesses and it is off.

Thanks guys. My driver window bolts must have come loose yesterday. Going to use your input to fix it today. Again, thanks.
