Steering wheel tip
I have gray interior with a leather steering wheel. After 7 years the coloring had started to rub off on a spot on the top to reveal black underneath. Very small problem, but it bothered me. I checked on a new steering wheel. Wow, about $650 just for the wheel part, not the airbag. Not an option for me and a small problem.
The next option was a steering wheel cover, probably wheelskins, but I don't like those either but since it was going to be covered up anyway I tried something risky.
Duplicolor makes vinyl and fabric spraypaint. Amazingly it worked very well. I used the Charcoal gray which is part # HVP111. It is a very close match. It is not supposed to be for leather so keep that in mind, and it makes the finish flat instead of the shiny, tacky leather feel, but I put some saddle soap on it and it blends very well. It isn't perfect, but you can only notice it in bright light. I am very happy with the results, especially since it cost $6 instead of $40 or $650!!!!!!
