I searched the TSB's for the 2002 Seq and didn't find anything. I also have this "problem". My Toyota rep told me that this (along with the humming/vibration issue) is also "normal". My head was already hurting from banging my head on the vibration issue and I've quit pursuing this one for the time being.
If brake fluid is leaking, you'll notice the level droping in the plastic brake fluid reservoir under your hood. Check it closely. Gear oil from the differential is much thicker to the touch, and the two fluids smell very different. It's probably gear oil. Get it fixed before it gets on your brakes.

Did yours always go to 0 or was it sporadic?
No TSB. They just fixed it without any fuss. The gauge would read half, sometimes 1/4 and would go to zero and go up again. One day it just shot to zero and never went up again.

rotated my tires yesterday and realized it is gear oil and it already made it to my brakes. im more concerned on how much gear oil i lost. i dont know how long its been leaking. i hope my rear is ok. dropped it off at dealer yesterday, ill let you know how they treat me.
Low oil pressure is indicative of a bad sensor, a bad instrument cluster and a bad body computor. Mine did the same thing. It was at the dealership over five times. It is now fixed with all of these components replaced. I have a big thread on this. Search the list. Actual, as read by a test gauge, pressure is 80 psig - cold idle - 3/4 on gauge in dash; 25 to 40 psig - hot idle - 1/4 to 1/2 on gauge; 60 to 80 psig at 1800 rpm hot - 1/2 to 3/4 on gauge.
replaced grease seal on back right axle, i asked why it went bad and they said just defective from factory. im hopeing my bearing isnt bad and caused the seal to go bad. they said bearings were fine. as for the oil gauge problem, they didnt fix it because it tested ok. of course it works fine when its at the dealer. i called the warranty department to document the problem. i guess ill have to wait for it to get worse so they can prove it defective.

My 03 Sequoia was only 2 months old ,2500 miles and the oil pressure gauge flip flopping between resting position and 1/4 mark. I took it in the dealer and was told the oil sending unit was the culpit. I left the truck at the dealer for a week ( they told me it was back order), they gave me a minivan as a loaner. The funny thing was, I got rid of my van to buy a Sequoia...... The gauge is working fine now. 3/4 when cold, 1/4 when hot idling and btween 1/4 and 3/4 in cruise.
