Default Clicking in steering column

I've noticed a clicking or ticking in the steering column; it usually manifests itself when the AC is on or the interior of the truck is cool. Sound like something is catching and releasing usually just a little left of centre and back again. You can feel it in the wheel when it happens, but just barely.

It's definitely an intermittent problem and more of an annoyance than anything else.

Anyone got any ideas?

Cheers,

John.

This problem disappeared for most of the winter but with the onset of spring I've started to notice it again.

Any suggestions? I might have my tech look into it during the next oil change...
