Crankshaft Pulley Removal

Hello!

Could someone please tell me if the crankshaft bolt for an '01 Seqouia is a right or left hand thread? I'm having a tough time removing it and any suggestions would be greatly apprecited!

Right handed thread, just like regular bolts. They are just really tight.

i use the starter bump method ,i used the socket on loose position with an extension handle (a pipe ) beneath the passenger side frame,use something to kep the extension up against frame (tool box or something) and then bump the starter real quick and then turn the key off. that will do it ,check if bolt came loose. important not to keep the key in on position for more than a second or two.

That way works, but I do have a friend with new Front Teeth because the extension against the frame slipped off, he tried to hold it (not smart)..... becareful when doing it this way. It can send the socket thru the radiator ( been there done that) if it accidentally comes off.
