Can you fit the captains chairs from the 05 into a 2001 Limited?

My wife and I are toying with this option for her Limited to make getting into the third row easier with the baby being in the driverside second row position. I wasn't sure the mounting points were the same but the body style didn't really change so I was hoping this might be a viable option for us.

s a good question and in theory it should work. I think you should do a little searching in the forum and track down a few members that have the bucket seats ( I know there are a few) and have them take a few measurements and then compare them. Even if it’s not a direct fit you can make anything work with a little fabrication. If that is not an option than you could get a few prices from a local interior shop.

I plan to move the 2nd row seat back on mine about 4-5 inches and remove the 3rd row.

I just want a little more room for passengers and know it shouldn’t be that hard. Worst case, I have to break out the welder and make some brackets.

Hmmmmm....if I can find an 05 at a dealer maybe they'd let me....
