It could be a fuse but i couldnt tell ya which one to check. I had a similar problem but my wiper didnt work either. I ended up having to replace my rear window motor. The back window stopped about an eight inch short of being all the way up so it looked up but the sensor didnt recognize it as being up so the wiper wouldnt work either. If it is the motor you can just beat on the back door a little bit and it will work for a while before it gives up the ghost for good. I paid $150 for a new window motor with a lifetime guarantee from checker auto parts and changed it in the parking lot. Toyota wanted over $400 to do it.
