Anyone gone from an 01-04 to an 05+ Gas mileage difference ?

Guys I'm trying to do a little research to see if there is any noticable difference from the 05+ 4.7's mpg from the older ones. I actually saw the specs and it has the 05+'s 15 city 18hwy and the 01-04's 14city 17hwy. I was suprised at this b/c of the increased Horsepower on the 05's. Just wanted to know if anyone could tell a difference in the different engines. I had an 01 4x4 and averaged about 17-18 all the time combined. and saw as much as 20 on the highway. Just curious if i could get that out of the 05 models

my 06 4x4 gets about the same. 17 - 18 overall. Its the only sequoia i've driven so i cant compare but i've had 21.6 mpg on the display after 300 miles but i also was very well behaved and held 60 the whole way but im sure anyones ride could do that if they had the time and patience.
