Does anyone know if there is a way to bypass the speed limiter on the 02 sequoia? Is this figured by the speed sensor, or is it figured off the tachometer?
I know on my bike that is calculated by the tach to cut out at the specified RPM in 6th gear that corresponds with 300 KPH (186 MPH). They make a TRE (timing retard eliminator) that fools the ECU into thinking that the bike is in 5th gear all the time which allows it to run to redline in 6th.
Years ago this was discussed in the forums.....
I think the consensus was why would you want the Big Brick Seq. to be able to fly down the road faster than what the limiter is set at.
I do not know if anyone ever figured out how to modify it.
How fast are you wanting to go?
Your speed that the speedometer reads is not always the speed you are going, it measures tire speed. You can pin the big beast in the mud and have it carve do to the fact that it thinks it is going 100mph down the road.
I know there must be a bypass contraption out there as almost every vechile on the road today is limited to 100mph.
check with the guys at URD and see if they still make a speed limiter clamp. It fools your ecu to think you are doing less than you actually are by regulating the voltage to the ecu. Intended for off-road use only (which also means track).

Also I know unichip sell/sold with governor removed option (at least on my 03 tundra, and few other fellow members in my area). Althou it sets check engine light (code comes up = speed sensor fault )

2010 Tundra DC trd off road, checked it today because some were saying 109 some 115. Mine did hit the 115 and floated between 114 and 115 on the garmin. Don't know why it is different on some unless running off size tires and have not corrected speedomiters???
Just a guess, don't shout....
