Although it looks like there are 10 bolts that should be used, it turns out (at least in my case) that only 8 are needed. 4 around the hitch point, and two on each side into the frame rails.

The 4 around the hitch need to be 3" at least. I bought 4 that were 2.5" or so (didn't measure since nobody seems terribly interested) and they are just too short. I'm going to exchange them for ones that are 1" longer.

The 4 on the frame rails can be as short as 2".. I'm sure you can get 1.5" to work, but you have the whole ~4" of framerail height inside the box to hide the rest of the bolt, so no need to skimp - cost should only be $0.05-$0.10 difference for longer bolts.

Used a 1/8" flat washer, lock washer and red loctite.

What bolt grade did you use? Are they all easy to get to and remove? I'm thinking about taking my hitch off so I can repaint it or coat it with undercoating to help prevent corrosion.

Since they are metric, the standards are a bit different. The best I could find was Metric Class 8.8, which some sites equate to Grade 5, others to Grade 8.

The 4 bolts around the hitch are a bit of a pain, they are put in from the top of the frame rail, and down into the hitch. the other 4 are very easy to get to.
