Default Brake Controller Wiring Harness

Hi everyone, new to the site. Looking forward to learning a lot. May even have something to add eventually. I am trying to install a brake controller (Tekonsha Voyager) in my 2004 Sequoia, I bought used and do not have the wiring harness. I found the connector that I could splice and add the brake controller, but my wire colours are not the same as some people have listed elsewhere. I have:

Black with Red Tracer (Thick Wire)
Blue
Green with white Tracer (Thick Wire)
Green
Orange

Most people mention having Red and Brown whereas I have Blue and Orange. The other 3 colours do match.

Am I missing something? Maybe I have the wrong connector but it seems to be the only one in that area. Can anyone help me match them up with the brake controller. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Default Re: Brake Controller Wiring Harness

Orange wire is the ground & goes to white wire on brake controller

Blue wire is for brake actuation goes to blue wire on brake controller

Green wire is for tailights

Black/Red = Battery Voltage goes to BLACK WIRE ON BRAKE CONTROLLER

Green/White = not used, this is a special activation wire for some brake controllers

BRAKE CONTROLLER RED wire goes to brake light switch GREEN/YELLOW wire.

Hope this helps

Green wire is for tailights (What colour does this one match on the brake controller?) Is it the RED as indicated below? Thanks for the response, I really appreciate it.

The GREEN wire is not used. your brake controller does not have this option

The BRAKE CONTROLER RED WIRE goes to the VEHICLES brake light switch and taps into the green/yellow wire on the vehicle brake switch. This is how it knows your stepping on the brake. I just checked my wifes 04 Seq and it has a green/yellow wire on the vehicle brake light switch, you need the wire that gets hot "12v" when you step on the brake.
