Default Sequoia Timing Belt/leather seats

I have a 2003 Toyota Sequoia that my Wife loves and has put 92000mi on it and it has been very trouble free. I read the owners manual and under normal conditions and I did not see a timinig belt replacement interval. I have never replaced the drive belt and from what I can see it still looks good, no cracks or noises or anything. Is their a way to check these new style belts for for wear like the old style v-belts which wore out fast but you could tell by how thin and low in the pulley they got?
The only problems we had with this car is brakes, which since we replaced all new rotors and heavy duty ceramic pads, front and rear, have lasted over 40kmi but they make noise when first backing out garage in morning. The other problem I have had is the leather seats have taken on some heavy wear and tear. I clean them and it seams like the dye comes off with the soap and water, they just get worse and worse. Have any of you found the leather dye/paint to be any good or easy to use?

Timing belt should be done at 90K at least that is what my 01 manual says.

I've got an 03 Limited with almost 92000 miles now. I haven't had any problems with the leather, it looks like new. I had problems warping the front rotors while pulling my boat, so I switched to slotted rotors and Hawk pads, works great with no noise. Although, my belts are starting to squeal a little bit. I think its time to replace them.

Does anyone know if just tightening them would cause the squeal to go away? If so, is there a thread with some instructions??

unable to tighten our belts. they are a tensioner style and it keeps a certain amount of tension on the belt. these tensioner do go weak and weaker as you put more and more miles on them. when replacing them, the PS pump needs to come loose, ALT needs to come completely off and then the tensioner can come off.

1scott,

i recently purchased a '03 with 60k on it. i had the timing belt changed due to the fact the manual states that the belt should be changed every 90k or 6 years. i rather pay a little now for the peace of mind. my mechanic said that they usually go by mileage, but here in l.a. this is a low mileage car so i rather go by the years. also mechanic said that he would not suggest replacing the water pump since they tend to be expensive and they don't go bad too often. so i took his advice on that one and did not have it changed.
hope that this is helpful.

Just took my 03 LTD into the shop with 89,000. WP had a small leak so had it replaced, Also replaced the timing belt since it's recommended at 90K and the plugs as well. Other than brakes and oil changes, this is the first "bigger" repair I've had although I've had similar problems as documented in other posts.
