Default 03 Sequoia ABS Trac lights on

My son installed new rear brake pads and one new rotor and when I took it out to test drive it, the dash started beeping and then the skid light came on and then ABS and Trac lights came on. I turned the car off and the went off but as soon as I started to drive again the same thing happened and now the light are staying on. My son seems to think that it is because I used high performance brake pads but I am wondering if it is because I only replace one rotor. Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

one of your rear brakes could be applying pressure because of the new rotor thickness and sending a signal back that the wheels are not rotating together.
The high performance pads could be thicker, plus the new rotor thickness there may be some pressure.
Was there any difficulty getting the new pads on.
Check the emerg. brake, could it be applying pressure on the new rotor side?

I had my emerg. brake freezing up enough to kick the abs in, when it warmed up the abs went out.

Check the work you did. Performance brake pads wont make the lights come on. If you had a hard time getting the rotors off you might have damaged one of the sensors. You will need to find out if a sensor has an open circuit. If you don't have a volt/ohm meter you will need to take it to a shop to check it out.
