Default Here's one; Hatch broken/rear window not working?

I've read through the forums and found out how to fix these problems. Problem here is that to get the panels off the back you have to have the hatch open...so I'm stuck. Advice?

Not entirely correct. You don't have to have hatch open to take the panels off. I just replace the handle in my wifes truck this past weekend. Climb inside and start prying them off starting with the top, side, and then main one. You may have to apply some force to take the big one off. Once you do that, pull out a rubber plug (you'll see 3) on the left and look inside. Inspect the new handle to understand ho to open the existing one. Once you figure it out, you'll have it open in 5 seconds. Then follow instruction posted here and you are all set. BTW, i have purchased a new handle from ebay user located in Arizona (sorry, don't feel like looking up his userid) for 18.97 including shipping. Just search and you'll see it. If not, PM me and I'll look it up for you.

Thanks. I assume, like the door panels that the rear panel pops off with a little force and the only other connection point is the pull down strap. Now, if it would drop below 100* I would get out there and get it pulled apart. Thanks for the ebay tip. Will get one headed this way.

There are retaining clips around the edges, then it slides up slightly.

Thanks to the forum....all is well. Got the plastic off, removed the old handle and replaced with new one. Banged on the window motor while I was there...poof...back window working. The lock cylinder had long ago fallen into the hatch so I put that back. My wife is thoroughly disgusted because she wants a new car. This one has 205K on it but I've fixed everything but the power antenna. Besides, it runs like a new car so why spend 35k on a new one? This will end with her getting a new car and someone getting a nice Seq to drive.
