Default check engine light just came on - what are your guesses?

At 167,000km I wonder what the check engine light is on for?

It needs a timing belt done for sure, but lets have fun guessing what could be the culprit!

It could be telling you to check the engine. Just a wild guess.

Seeing there are 45 codes that it could be, I'm going to guess
it's one of those! Seriously though, go to Auto Zone or one of
those auto parts places in your area. Most of them will check
the code for you with a scanner free of charge. They may even
tell you what the code means. If not, come back here and let us
know whatthe code is and we can help. You could also Google the
year, make and model of your vehicle along with the code and
you may find the info there. Good luck.

dealer took a look and fixed it, they claimed it was a small gasket leak

no charge and the light is out, and strangly it runs a little nicer to boot!
