Default Warning TBS for 04-06 Sequoia-Rear Bearing from water leak

had this horrible hum from the rear, brought into the dealer. Lord and behold, water was leaking past the ABS sensor gasket in the rear cause rear w. bearing failure.

the dealer knew this, but only fix under warranty 60000 miles or 60 months, so mine was 80K exact. Im was **** out of luck.

Just to let you guys know, check the rear sensor or if you hear a slight hum, the rear bearing will start to fail. So before it hit 60K, make those bastard dealers change them. I will post the TBS number for you guys.

no it is this TBS DL 001-05 This was informed since November of 2005.

I just have the axle done this week. They wanted 891 total!!! But I bought the parts from Shanon at Champion Toyota, what a different in saving. The parts came out to be a whooping 209 bucks.

It is for the rear bearing, seal, inner and outer retainers. Get the parts and let the dealer put them in. Labor should ran about 300 bucks. Don't let them rape us with the outrageous labor and parts.

Right rear bearing went on out on my '05. Granted, it has 128K miles, but this is something I would expect to go out on a GM/Ford truck, not Toyota. Had the work done at a dealer $230 in parts, $250 labor.

The clue was rear-end lube on the inside of the wheel and dripping on ground. My tire shop found it when rotating tires right before a 3K mile round-trip to CA. Whew!

I'm keep an eye on my rear-end now!
