Lexus remote for use in 1G Sequoia

I have a leftover remote from a 97 ES300. Does anyone know if it can be programmed to operate the locks on my 02 Sequoia? It has the same button configuration as the Sequoia's, except that the picture of the rear window is a picture of a trunk lid.

Any help is appreciated,
