Default I need to connect map lights to dome lights

I read an earlier post from 2004 where a guy hooked up his front map lights to work the same as the rear dome lights . Althought he said he hooked them up to a white wire in the dome cluster .

I have the rear seat audio and did not see a white wire . I have a blue wire and a yellow wire coming from the dome on/off switch . Has anyone hooked these lights up and if you did where did you splice into at ?

I figured it out . I tapped into the yellow wire after relay and before switch . Ran that wire to the dome lights with a couple of Diodes to the dome lights and Now my map lights come on when I open the door and they fade to off with the other lights . I also added a rocker switch and installed that into the sunglass holder ( Hidden ) . So now I can turn off the function with that switch and it works like the original factory set up . Taa daa !

Without tearing apart my rear dome and front map light apart to take pictures, I would do a search here for the mod. There are some really good directions on how to do it. It is not hard at all to do it. I tucked my wire running up to the front map lights up under and around the sunroof. Works like a charm. I did add a switch to turn on/off the mod and tucked that into the eyeglass compartment ( hidden) . Although I really don't use it ,,so far.
