Default Easy Rims

Looking to buy some rims/tires. I only want 18's. I live in Indiana so we do get snow in the winter with lots of salt. My past wrangler rims rusted really bad. My stock seq rims were corroded when I bought it, so I want to put some good looking rims on, but not suffer the consequences after winter. I was wondering what finish is easy to take care of? I will not be able to be out polishing/cleaning every weekend in the winter. I just want to know what kind will not dimple flake corode whatever. Aluminum/polish/chrome/paint? Any ideas thanks for input

I know what you mean. Don't get polished aluminum, and don't get clear-coated wheels either. The most durable finish is going to be factory wheels, or something that is powder-coated. Chrome in the salt doesn't mix very well. Whatever you do get, I would recommend using a couple coats of marine quality wax with teflon (PTFE) in it. I've been using that, and it seems last longer than typical car wax.

I've not heard much about the actual teflon painted wheels? American Racing makes some that might be pretty durable? I've also heard that the black-chrome is pretty durable?? Good luck!

yea my bet would be on those newer teflon coated wheels...thats prolly a good bet and they are definetly still good looking.
