01 Limited Ignition Lock Problem, Keys suck

On my 01 Sequioia, I have 2 keys. One is the original and one is a copy. It's almost if the lock is getting worn out. It takes several tries of putting either key in and out before it will finally turn. I don't think it is an issue with the transponder, because it would still turn, but not start, right?Iit just won't turn sometimes like it it was a bad copy... Any ideas?

keys over time can become damaged or worn I suppose . That might be it . The Toyota dealer can prolly cut you a new key with the VIN number info . I would call them . I dont think if you had a copy made from a worn key would be any help .
