Default Several performance questions - Nitrous/Headers

Alright I've been challenged to a race by a friend with a newer colorado. It's lowered, 5 speed, 5 cyl, some bolt ons, good lookin' little truck. Well i'm not one to want just beat him, I'm going to destroy him. So here come the mods. Bought the wet nitrous kit last night, there is no schrader valve on either fuel rail that I can see, if any of y'all have ever sprayed one of these, where did you tap for fuel? I guess I can cut the feed line and put a T in there, but I REALLY hate to do that. Also I'm going to get some headers, but can't afford to drop the $$ for the JBA's right now. Are the $190 ebay ones worth a ****? Last question: Has anyone removed the cats on one of these 4.7's? I know it helps most vehicles but it kills Titans so figured I'd ask:

Cliff Notes:

1. Anyone sprayed one and where'd you tap for fuel
2. Are ebay headers worth a ****
3. Removing/gutting cats - anyone done it and what'd ya think.

Vehicle is a 2002 Sequoia SR5 2wd

Thanks folks. We video all our racing meets (youtube racevideoforums.com if interested) so you all will get to see the results of said race.

Default Re: Several performance questions - Nitrous/Headers

I hate to entertain the idea of a silly race with a vehicle have the size? The Sequoia weighs 5400lbs without anyone in it. It's not fast, and it won't be fast unless you plan to throw big dollars and major engine work at it. I also hope this is at a closed course.

Not knowing how much you plan to spray, I would suggest that your rods may not handle the abuse. The 2UZ wasn't able to handle much more than a stock supercharger. You may want to do some searching on this one before you install it.

I don't now what ebay headers are, but I'm not sure they will provide what you're looking for. I would stay with JBA, or TRD or a set of long tubes with the high flow cats for top performance. Removing a high dollar toyota cat probably won't give you anything but less low end torque and an expensive trip back to the muffler shop. Good luck.
