It 1st detects objects at 12ft. 3ft is the last distance gauge (LED goes to red and audio warning is constant). So anything closer than 3 ft is not measured further.

Yes you can bang them up off road, which I have done, but the replacement sensors are only ~$25 or so

I've just recently purchased a RAV4 and since I literally can't see immediately down & behind me I feel like I'm an accident waiting to happen

I did a quick Google and found this site:

It would seem to be a good solution & want to get one. Anybody out there with any further ideas ?
