Bilsteins 5100 adjustable

Hello All,

Im thinking of going with 5100's adjustable shock. I plan to lift at least 2 inches to 2.5 to get a 32 or 33 inch tire on (without rubbing. I also want to swap out springs. I hear the rear springs for the FJ80/LC can be used on the Sequoias rear and will give a approx 2 inch lift.

I need advice for fronts springs and which to pair up with the 5100's.

Since the 5100's are adjustable and I am adding the springs to supplement the lift what setting is best for the shock (lower or higher)? Just thinking if there is a stiffer or smoother ride and health of the shock?

Will I need a 1 inch diff drop?

For sure I need an alignment but do I need to replace the uppers CA's?

I am no crazy off roader but I do love the fire roads, mud, and hills. Dont do any rock crawling type off

Re: Bilsteins 5100 adjustable

Check out this recent thread. I've ordered this set up and am installing soon. Others have done it already.

Note - There is a new part number to the front shocks which is also mentioned.
