supposedly, you can just mount it on w/out cutting out the center. not sure how true that is, unless the J & J grille sticks out a lot. the Billet grille, the "soon to be released" Street Scene Speed Grille and GrillCraft Sport Grille all require the center of the stock grille to be removed completely.
IMO, i'd hold out for the Speed or Sport Grille's or even the Billet grille before i'd get the J & J. again just my opinion...
another pic to look at is on my www i've got a photoshopped pic of what it will look like on our rides.
it's the install on an F-150, but it pretty much represents what the GrillCraft Sport Grille for our application will look like. the Street Scene's Speed Grille is almost the same less the "frame" around it. the Speed Grille is bent at the edges then clamped in to the existing stock frame. the GrillCraft is bolted in. i had the GrillCraft many years ago and dug it, so i'm going to wait on it.
bad news guys!! the GrillCraft Sport Grille won't be out for another month or so. we're looking at end of May or early June. they just got too behind on their other parts that they put the whole Toyota line on the backburner 'til then. i'll keep you all posted on any updates.
