You are right the chrome looks great! I have seen a photo on this site and they look great. This is my wife's ride and she vetoed the chrome, so no deal but I agree 100%. Thanks for the advice!!
I just bought an 02 Limited, the only thing I do not like are the rims and tires (Bridgestones) . Right now I have 500 miles on the vehicle. Any suggestions on selling the wheels and tires would be helpful. What could I ask for them? Where can I trade them in? I'd really like going to the TRD rims or the 03 Limited rims when they become available. What might I expect to pay? Would my dealer take in my rims and tires for 03 rims and tires?
I bought my 02 limited rims from a dealer for 800 and that included lug nuts, locks, covers and shipping from Texas to Tennessee where I live! Thats a good deal! From the dealer brand new they where at least 250 per wheel, plus shipping, WOW! The price varied from dealer to dealer so check your dealers and price them. I wouldn't take less than 800 for yours. You can post them on the classified section of "TS" if you want to. Nice selection of vehicles, we have an SR5 but my wife did not want leather..... so we went w/ the SR5 same color as yours. Wished I had seen this post a couple weeks ago but oh wheel...err I mean well! Hope this helps. Keep it real!
Yea, I guess I will look to change to the 03 wheels and tires. Well, let's just say I will see what I can get for my 02 rims and tires 1st. A local Michelin dealer offered me $50.00 each for my Bridgestone 689 Duelers and would charge me $156.00 each for a set of Cross Terrains.
I bought a set of chrome limited wheels for $800 and then put snow tires for the winter on the wheels that came with the other set of limited wheels. Would like to see what the 2003 17inch limited wheels look like.
Yup, many people are running 20's in fact. Do some searching, this topic has come up a lot and you will find all the info you need. The 2003 Sequoias will be available with 17's.

I am looking into the same thing. From what I understand, using our tires and wheels for example; 265 stands for the width, 70 stands for tire height(70=70% of tire width) 16 stands for rim size. The 03 Limited will have 17 inch rims with 265 width and 65 height. Even though the 03 rims are larger with the smaller 65% height the entire height of the tire and wheel of the 03 compared to the 02 Limited are the same ,30.6 inches. I am considering keeping my 16 inch wheels and going to a wider 275 tire with a 70 % height which will change the overall height of my tire/wheel combination to 31.1 inches. The tire would appear as 275/70/16. This tire is wider and taller than our present 265/70/16 by 1/2 inch
I am considering Good Year Fortera HL's or Michelin Cross Terrains, they both cost about $160.00 and have very similar features.
I had several dealers who are willing to install 275/70/16's I am waiting to decided on Good Year Fortera's, Michelin Cross Terrain's or Bridgestone HL's (upgrade from our HT Duelers from the factory). They are all in the $150.00 range. I had so much luck with the Good Year Wranglers on my 4Runner, that I am leaning toward Good Year again.
nodefect, no such tire as 275/70/65, do you mean 275/70/16? Fat finger syndrome?
pemarsh, several of us have larger tires on our rides. Every tire shop I spoke with was more than willing to take my money in exchange for larger tires, whether they fit or not
I had the Michelin CrossTerrains 275/70-16s for over two weeks now and they ride great. The truck is not as fast off the line since the tires are slightly larger, but it's really not that bad.
Makes a nice improvement to the looks of the truck as well.
