Question Cross Terrains vs OEM Dunlops Sequoia

I have a 2002 Sequoia SR5 with the OEM Dunlops. Would I notice a difference with Michelin Cross Terrains?? Also, would they be better on the snow, and wet roads?? Everyone chime in please!!!!

Default Also have the OEM Dunlops on my SR5

What do you not like about them ?

Only have about 1K miles on my Sequoia - the only thing I notice is the road noise is a little loud. Being my first SUV , I don't know if it is just the size and style of tire or the actual design of the Dunlop.

That said- I have no compelling reason to worry about replacing them before the end of their thread life.

Perhaps the Michelins are quieter ?

Dont worry about replacing the Dunlops---there not going to last that long anyway---When they do wear out the Mich c/t are a good choice. Buzz

I have a Tundra and I have had Michelin Cross Terrains for about 20k miles now and they are just incredible. They are very quiet and they ride real smooth. I drove one winter with them and they handle much better than the OEM BFG's did in the snow. I would highly recommend them especially for people in colder climates where they will drive in snow.

Question Anyone with 20 inch rims lowered their Sequoia?

Anybody ever tried lowering their Sequoia's after having changed their stock rims with 20 inch rims? I would like to find out what difference it made with regards to the ride. I know it looks nice cause I have seen other suv's doing it and they look great, but I have not seen a Sequoia like the others. Pictures would be nice.

Reggie, a few of us are looking and looking. Are you interested in lowering your ride? Currently, there isn't a kit but we're looking at custom springs and coil overs. Let us know if you are interested.

Thanks a lot Boone. Yes, I am very much interested. Keep me posted or add me to the list. I am also interested in clear tail lights for our ride but I guess it is non existent still. I hope not for long.

Reggie,

yeah, we've been looking. TRD and Eibach have both stepped away from the drop so we're looking for alternates. if you've got any ideas please post. btw, TRD dropped two rides and one of them is a daily driver and from what i've heard the ride is smooth and not jarring.

btw, i've got pix of both rides. i will post them when i can.

Chris

Default Generally Avaliable ?

So, is there a kit (strut/spring) available or is this still a specialty modification ? Anxious ......

So it looks like there are four of us interested in this. Any others? What kind of drop are you looking for (how many inches front and rear)?
