LOL, I think he is just over exaggerating a little bit. What I think he is referring to is that awful sulfur smell that most of us smell when driving with the rear window rolled down. Depending on how hard you are on the gas you would think that awful smell would or could kill you. Some people don't smell it at all but I think those are people that are very light on the gas pedal. Me on the other hand well, Lets just say I am very much the opposite. Every where I go is a "Full Throttle" run and if I have the rear window open wile I am driving the smell is VERY strong. It turns out there is a Toyota Hotline Call Case #040960063, regarding the rattle in the sunroof track. They dropped the headliner and replaced the attaching hardware for the track.

If you live in the Chicago area, you might want to try Arlington Toyota for your service work. I was impressed by the competancy and care of the service advisors.
Chipster,

Just wanted to say thanks!! I am having the same squeak frame noise on my '04 with about 80k and plan to have it fixed under an extended warranty.

Just wanted to add to the moonroof squeak thread with a minor fix I discovered. I bought my 02' Sequoia last summer when it was warm, and this last winter the moonroof was constantly squeaking. It would go away when I pushed up on the rear passenger side of the moonroof or headliner...and it would help a little. After cleaning and looking for a cause, I tried spraying some lubricant back behind the rear plastic cover (behind the moonroof track on passenger side). It's hard to see, but I put the plastic straw on my spray lubricant of choice and sprayed the hell out of the components behind the track. Problem solved for now, but I may have to do this once a year unless I can get the dealer to figure out the fix.

hmmm on my 01 it does have the safety stop and the you have to manually open it the rest of the way. I do not have the sun shade problem of bouncing around at high speed. now i did notice a decrease in turbulence with the rear window cracked just a little bit but normally when you have it open you expect wind right? and i only get the bad thob when only one of the back passenger windows is open and i solve that by cracking the drivers window.
