Anyone have this option? If so, are yours falling off the dash like mine? I like the way it looks but if it won't stay on why bother? The worst one is around the electronics (radio,a/c, etc.). It was on the Sequoia when we bought it from the dealer. Has anyone ever removed them? Thanks.........
We got our 2002 Sequoia in May, no problems so far with the wood trim. At first I didn't think I would like it, but it was already on the truck. When we went to pick it up, I ended up liking the look. Ours seems to integrate very well with the dash, so I am surprised yours is coming off. Have you tried taking it back to the dealer?

I never had a problem with the kit on my '97 4-Runner, and dont (knock on wood) have any issues with the kit on my Sequoia.
I'd definitely take it back into a dealership. When properly applied, the kit wont come off.
The only exception to this I know of is if you use copious amounts of cleaners (like Armorall) on the dash area, and it is allowed to seep under the kit.
we recently had the wood trim installed and love it. Looks just like the Lexus trim. Ours was aftermarket and carried the same warranty as Toyota. Dealer said 3/36000, and its covered, with the rest of the truck. Take it bake to the dealer, they should fix it.
Catman, don't have pics but I did install their 38 piece flat kit in my '01 Limited and it looked great. I've traded that one in for an '03 and am waiting for their '03 kit which should be available any week now (there is a difference on the '03 with the radio area). I'm just not sold on molded kits....... just haven't seen one that didn't look like plastic (which it is). The flat pieces are real wood and woodtrim.com kits are very well made. The fit was near perfect. I actually like seeing some of the silver trim as well with the flat kits. Good Luck.
Thanks, I agree about the molded kits, they look really cheap. If your going to put wood in your vehicle than maybe it should be WOOD! What color did you get? I have the Oak interior and want to get more of a brown rather than a reddish wood.
I also had the oak interior and installed the Red Walnut Burl, which looked great........I'd recommend a reddish color rather than brown.......in fact, I'm going to go with that or the Exotic Burl with my current gray interior. I'm not a fan of brown ordinarily (sorry UPS) but that oak interior in the Sequoia is really nice. They'll send you color chips. E-mail ray@woodtrim.com for that. I felt the red finish added warmth (red and tan go well). It helps to put the sample right into your vehicle. I'm also not sure if I'll go witht the 38 piece again, or just the 25. The 38 had lots of small rear and ceiling-type pieces that I never really "saw" as driver.
I also enjoyed installing it.....but you need to be patient and a bit of a perfectionist berfore setting those pieces in "their final resting place". I had the '01 for a year after installing it and had no problems with the product whatsoever. I'm in Redmond WA, just east of Seattle so our climate is mild and sun is not an issue (ha !). Shoot any questions my way if you have any.
I ordered the 38 piece today. I'm sure it will be fun installing, I like that type of project. I ordered the Medium Italian Burl as it seemed to be a warm neutral color. As soon as I get it installed I will attempt to post some pictures.
Installed the kit today. Everything went great except one corner of the tray near the transfer case shifter. Not that noticible to anyone but me of course! I will post some pics tomorrow for everyone to see.
Nice job Catman. Doesn't it make a dramatic difference ? You're a quick rascal too. You must have a heated garage on a day like this to do the installation. That center radio console is a nail biter for placement, but I think it looks way better than the plastic molded options. I'm still waiting for the '03 kit to be ready. I was thinking about the 25 piece, but seeing yours reminded me of how nice the 38 piece truly is. Good luck, and hope the snow doesn't wipe you folks out this winter.
