I only had a 120A max output alternator, originally. I have a High end audio/ video system in my Sequoia, plus 12v radiator fan. I have an Optima battery which helps but I notice that I guage actually is staying right under 18V with the new alternator. It was 14Vs with the old one.
This alternator did not require a core deposit.
how was the install, overall? easy? hard? pita? time consuming but easy? same belt/pulley size?

Here is his answer, i brought it from an earlier post....
Toyota offers a bigger alternator in the Limited and its available only in a "package" on the SR5. I have the SR5. I looked at the brochure and none of the packages list the 150 amp alternator. The SR5 I have has a ton of packages on it, how can I tell if I have this alternator? What packages does it come with?
I think the larger alternator comes with the tow package.

Check the voltage with a real voltmeter. 18v will fry your battery and engine computers.

Ever see a diesel? They all have two batteries wired in parallel. As long as they are two identical batteries of the same age and wear, there is nothing wrong with wiring them in parallel.
EDIT: whoops, didn't see it was from 2002
