Default Dual Exhausts...the Next Ts Project!

Ok guys, as we work on the HID group buy, which we only need 6 more confirmed buyers to finish. I am currently in works of finding a reputable manufacturer to make the long awaited dual side exit exhausts for the Sequoia. I need to know who would be serious in purchasing these exhausts. Voice up, is there really a market for these as I believe there is. I have learned alot about the stories behind alot of the manufacturers that you guys have talked about like TRD and Borla, and what is going on with them, being that I am in this industry. I have decided to proceed with taking it upon myself to find a reputable manufacturer to make them. I have three interested parties at this time. For those who know anything about JAOS, you know that we/I accept only quality that is second to none. So these exhausts will be very high quality. Chime in, how many of you guys would be willing to buy a stainless steel, dual side exit exhaust for your Sequoia in the $600.00-$700.00 range? Let me know.

I think you might get more interest if it was going to be a rear exit exhaust as opposed to side exit.

I thought about this too, however the problem with rear exit exhausts, even the stock ones is the fact that if you try to drive with the rear window down, or even sit in idle, fumes will be sucked into the cabin of the vehicle. Anyone else have this experience? I had it with my 4Runner when I had the 1st gen TRD exhaust, then switched to the side exit TRD when it came out. And I've noticed it with the Sequoia right now too. Personally, I like the side exit mainly for this reason. But toy4x4 may have a point. What do you guys think? Let me know. Thanks for the point toy4x4.

I'd like to see a dual exit rear myself. The way I see it, all of my exhaust already comes out the back from the factory, so what would change?

well, the major change would be the fact that you could drive around with your rear window down, or unload or load things in the back of your truck without directly sucking fumes, or hitch up the trailor without fumes either. These are all things that I have experienced with my trucks. Anyone else think of any other positives or negatives? Or to enlighten me, why do you guys like the rear exit better? Maybe your arguments could sway my idea. Thanks for the input.

Thumbs up Side Exit

I like the side exit way better for the fact that exhaust would not get into the vehicle when you're loading/unloading cargo. I think it looks better as well. However, the mrs. won't let me shell out the money for an exhaust so don't count me in. I've thought about trading in the mrs for a newer model but I can't get much of a trade in

Boone thanks for your input. Keep working on your wife, she'll come around. Besides, there's something she bound to want to get sooner or later. Hey how about a nice set of HID's for your ride then.

JAOS - I'd get it all man. I just can't talk her into it. I guess I shouldn't have started with the rims @ $3800.

Default I'm IN

JAOS,

I am in for the DUAL SIDE EXHAUST. Only way to alleviate the exhaust infiltration with rear window down, I figure. The other improvement may be a rear spoiler, but I do not care for the Limited style. Anyone know if there is an after market spoiler similar to that of the Land Cruiser style?

Chris,

NP, like I said, just taking advantage of my position to help you guys. I remember before I got into this industry how hard it was shopping around for a good price, or finding a product that worked for me. So I know how it is.

Jesse,

Count me in for the dual side exhaust. I'm tired of waiting for Borla to release it to the public.
