I just saw the production Sequoia subwoofer enclosure.. Very serious!! Serious pricing also: $529. + additional for the black only grill cover. 300 Watt suggested minimum power requirement....
Your basic $1000 total for installed ready to go... Gulp...
Yes, the $1,000 is with the $400 level amp to drive the $500 speaker plus $100 for installation, wiring, etc.. Mis-stated my message: it is Friday and the end of a very long week.. I meant to say "I saw picture and price at the local shop in Columbus".. Did NOT see the real enclosure..
I did see the "real" price, however.... I was hoping for $300 region but.....
i've been keeping track of the progress in this thread and it looks like we're finally seeing some good options...right on. now i REALLY can't wait to get that black '03 ltd. this has been the ultimate lesson in patience for me, since i decided that i was going to buy a sequoia last summer! i had to wait until the lease on my car was up and i turn it in in 4 weeks. can't wait to order it.
anyway, back to why i am writing this...
where have you guys seen amps mounted? Or better yet, do you have any ideas on where they would fit?
not many places to put it. underneath the passenger seat is probably most popular. you could by an amp rack from Q-logic and put it in your cargo area or custom fab one as did Maindog. if you're not going to get the sub box another member placed his amp in the rear storage compartment. there's also that jack storage unit where you could fit a small one. if you really wanted to go custom you could mount one somewhere underneath the rear side panels.
anyways, good luck on your purchase!! it was well worth the wait!

I took some measurements last night and the width is aprx 13" in between the drivers seat rails. There isn't much depth unless you take out the heater duct under the seat (which I think someone did). Good luck and please keep us posted.
Most of the TSBs in Lon's Garage say "Working on it!". I hate to be critical, but one of the reason's I became a supporting member was to have access to this valuable information, but it appears that it's not kept up to date.

raddboy - I went to the garage this morning and saw the same as you, "Working on it". I'll check with the other moderators and see what I can find out and post. Thanks for your support and please let me know if you have any questions. Dan
radboy,
I do this work in my spare time, currently without any other assistance. All the tsb's are created into an html format from another format. It is a huge job. Also, I do not have access to all TSB's immediately but usually get them within a few months of being issued, and when I do get them they are in large batches. I am working to get all the current ones I have transposed to html format and should be done as soon as my schedule permits.
