1Gen-SequoiaGeneral discussion forum for the first generation 2001 to 2007 Toyota Sequoia.
This is a discussion thread titled "After market sunroof", within the 1Gen-Sequoia forum, part of the SUV Forums category.
I have a 2004 SR5 and didn't order a sunroof with it and now I'm wanting to have one put in. Is it even possible to install an electric sunroof at this point??

Here's a link to one of the biggest OEM and aftermarket s/r makers. Model 744 is the largest you can put in an access cab. I had one installed a month after I bought my '02. It's by far, the best mod to date. Go to the dealer locator and find a shop close to you. You're best bet is to find a shop that does nothing but s/r installs for a living..... JB
I have the same one installed in my '02 access cab and love it.

On a recomendation I went to American Sunroof Corporation. They seemed to do a very good job.
The only thing I kinda dont like is how they did the headliner around the dome lights right behind the front seats (on the roof)
They went over the trim of the dome light with the headliner so there is a gap between the headliner now and the actual roof of the car. BUt only in this area. IN the rest of the car its flush.
I would think that they could have wrapped the trim of the dome light seperately, affixed the headliner to the roof and put the domelight trim OVER the headliner for a cleaner, fludhlook.
How did they do your headliner for you guys that want to classic soft trim? Maybe there is no other way to do it other than how they did it for mine?
I only spent $1000.00 for my roof, but I kinda wish I paid a little more at classic soft trim. I also think the sunroofs Classic Soft Trim uses are slightly larger for the Sequoia.
