The OBX pedals are not silver painted. The silver part is actually metal, not sure what kind. It is also cold to the touch when you place it on you cheek. The reason it looks cheap is because the rubber sides, when fused together, has extra slack and overlaps the metal; looks kinda tacky.
Yeah I thought they were cheap plastic at first. You can trim the excess rubber to clean it up a bit with an Xacto blade.
They do look nice but the ones I got are for the Tundra double-cab not the access cab. I guess I'll have to
ebay them.
