Default Sound Deadening the Sequoia

Ok I've decided not to spend nearly a $1000 for a professional to install Dynamat in my car, so therefore me and my friends will install an alternative in my car. How much roll would I need to deaden all 5 doors, and the rear cabin? By rear cabin, I mean everything after the 2nd row. Should I do the roof and floor of the rear cabin too along with the sides or just stick with the sides? Is there a way to deaden the center console as well? The woofers hit real hard, making everything in the car rattles. Which brand should I get, Peel n Seal or Raamat? Wheres the best place to get them? Wheres the best place to get them? On a scale of 1 (easy) to 10 (very difficult), how would you rate the sound deadening of the sequoia for a newbie and his friends (1 or 2 of them might know a few things about doing this)? Thanks.

I matted my own car and it isn't hard at all. Hardest part would be just taking everything apart. I would req. Rammat (sp) go to Elitecaraudio and do a search. The guy that sells them is very nice. It's about 80 bucks shipped for a roll of 60 sq Ft. It's as good if not equal too dynamat.

I matted my Acura CL not the sequoia but would be doing the doors of the sequoia when I put in speakers.

Just wondering for all the Seq owners who installed the sound deadeners in thier vehicles, how did you go about measuring what parts etc, how much roll/sheets did you need and what areas did you cover? Thanks.

I'm considering doing this as well, even though the Sequoia gets many good comments as to how quiet the thing is already. Anyone had good experience with any particular brands? So far i've heard stuff about Dynamat, Rammat, and B-Quiet.

Other than the doors, what do you guys think is the most important part of the car to add it to? Maybe near the wheel wells? Or is it best to just go for broke and get as much as possible?

I just did the rear hatch and the sides of the rear thender only on the inside of the truck. I have no rattles and if I don't have any rattles that's saying something. No need to do the 4 doors unless the truck is getting old. Johnnny

This may sound funny but the roof dynamating the roof makes the biggest difference.... I have been doing stereos for 12 years now and the first tme I heard that I was like WTF???.... but it is the biggest single piece of sheet metal and has the least reinforcement....

Does anyone have Access to instructional guides to remove the rear door panel or roof (ceiling) panels to install this DYNAMAT upgrade?

Thanks.

I have wanted to do my seq for awhile and never done it but I have read on this forum a few times the best panel to do is the roof. I've done other vehicles before and I believe it, go for the roof and rear sides, the panels aren't that hard to remove. Just don't mess up all the wires for the yaw sensors etc. As for brand buy whatever you can get for a good price that meets your requirements and get it done.
