The coupler is made for each other (brown in OEM and black in HID) Im prettysure just as the black negative wire terminal is for grounded, somebody correct me if Im wrong.
My biggest problem is I cant figure out how to run the positive terminal wire from the passenger side over to the battery? I did a rough lay out and it just doesnt look like its long enough to make it unless i just let it hang over the engine and other stuffs.
How did you do your? Give me some details as I was going to mount the ballast and relays the same way as Joe's. But to run the wire neatly and hidden, just doesnt seem to be long enough to me unless Im missing something?
Thanks for answering my dumb question Frank but I figured it all out last night and completed my install. The positive attachment on the passenger side CAN reach the battery. It is long enough! To be on the safe side you should mount the relay more to the front like in Joe's pics OR what I did was mount my ballast and relay adjacent to the airbox. I had to remove the air filter cover in order to get the job done. The positive wire reached with NO problem when placed in this spot. After that I just ran the wire along the front of the airbox and behind the black foam/cushion that is located in front of the radiator along the top.
I tried the lights out last night and the ARE VERY blue not almost purple as someone stated. I felt mine projected light down the road pretty well but it threw the light to right side in a sort of weird pattern. The highbeams are almost nonexistent. I road on a few roads that had no streetlights at all and I felt that these HIDs were good. I'll try to do my foglights today.
Thanks for the information on the wire.........I looked at it again last nite and figured just about the same way as you mentioned, by moving it more to the front, I just tried to go with the easyway without having to take off any parts :-)
Btw, did you take off the "hood" on the HID? According to the instruction, it should be removed since the OEM lense already has the reflector built-in.......Just wondering if the light pattern would be different (better) by leaving that "hood" on?
Anyway, gona try to get the HID done today as well, let me know how your fog lights come out? Im debating between that and the higher wattage bulbs.

Frank.
Yes I removed the hood from the HID. I think the light pattern might be better if the OEM reflector wasn't rippled (disco ball look). But if you leave the HID glare shield on I don't think it'll be able to fit properly.
Since this was my first time working on a project like this,I found it quite frustrating at first trying to find a good spot for the driver side ballast which I had to later remove because the connector wouldn't reach the light. Now I believe that the fogs SHOULD be easier because I know what to expect. Hopefully I'll be able to easily find a spot to mount the ballasts.
I've been trying to disable this DRL for almost a month without any luck. But now as I read this post the DRL is disable in less than 2 minutes work on the SUV. Thanks.
i have a corolla S 05', can someone show me how to dissable the DRL?
Hey Minhlu, Everyone over here has Sequoia's you should try starting a "New" post here: http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forums/corolla/ Everyone at that link will have the same car as you and will have much more info for you. Johnnnnnny

Are you guys disabling the high-mount third brake lights too? How about airbags?
Sorry, but these things have proven to save lives. I figure the cost of a couple of extra bulbs and a few bucks a year in gas over the 10 years or so I plan to keep our Seq will be minor, especially given that we bought this vehicle because we travel extensively towing our trailer in the summer (and travel to lots of ski hills in the winter) and want to be as safe as possible.
Folks the Daytime Running Lights Resistor connection is just to the right of the battery against the fender wall. It is gray connector, identified as D1 on this > DIAGRAM
I am pretty sure that "Daytime Running Lights Resistor" like shown above no longer works in newer model Sequoia'a. That post was from 02' so that is understandable. Has anyone found a mod. as simple as the one in the above post? Has anyone disconnected their day time running lights in a 2005 or newer Sequoia yet? And if so, how? I am able to turn mine off when I want to just by setting the E Brake and restarting the truck but I would just like to know if anyone found another way?? Thanks, Johnnnny
