Default vsc trac light on 03 Sequoia

I have a 2wd 2003 Sequoia. My vsc trac lights are on. I have done a search on this site and see that there is a problem with the 01's. I have about 31,000 miles on the vehicle and I recently put new tires and front brakes on the vehicle. What could be wrong?

    JRaider,

I have the same SEQ as you and had this problem that started months ago. The VSC Trac lights would come on while driving and then not go off until I turned the car off. In addition, they would come on sporatically and could NEVER be duplicated by the dealership. One day when the lights came on, I drove into the dealership, left the car running in the service area so that they could hook the car up to their diagnostic machine to read the trouble codes. It turned out to be a defective brake booster that was replaced under warranty. I was told that it was not a common problem and that there was no TSB.

    I hope this helps.

We have an 03 2wd SR5 Sequoia, and ours did the same exact thing around 31K miles. Our trac light came on and wouldn't turn it off, they ended up ordering a completely new ECU and replacing the whole thing (under warranty of course). Havn't had a problem since.

Thanks I will tell my dealer. The GM at our dealer is a friend. I called him today and he talked with the service manager, who talked me through checking the brake fluid.....it full. So he said to bring it in. Only problem is that the dealership is 2 hours away.....I told him we would be there next week. I'll post what they find.....good thing there is a really great mall across the street from the dealership. It's weird that yours happened at 31K miles also.
