Default Re: 2002 Sequoia- Another Broken Door Handle

They only lock in D with the doors closed, or they will lock with a door open about 10mph or so.

I hope you're not stepping out of the vehicle with it in drive!?

Exclamation Re: 2002 Sequoia- Another Broken Door Handle

We can relate. We have the 02 Sequoia TRD. We have replaced both door handles inside and today 10/18 I now have to replace the rear outside handle. I assume instead of the heat causing it to crack now it's the cold. The interior trim will also soon peel and crack off like thick nail polish. Beware I am also on my fourth visit to the mechanic, first two were at the dealership while under warrantee, for another rear seal leak. I'm told I may have to replace the axle. However I wouldn't give up my Toy, all 160K. We immediately added a DVD on each side of the 5 sunglass holders (no sunroof), with keyless start. Sorry I can't help anyone with the original key settings. I absolutely love it. Of course if worse comes to worse and I have to create another bill. I will still go SUV, Escalade (used), Range Rover (used), Tahoe, or the 2010 GMC. Good luck and enjoy the ride even though it doesn't jet off I kept it on the highways @ 90mph until the governor kicked in at 97mph. All you new model ,your welcome for all of the upgrades from the originals made in 02. The lack of ambiance lighting, etc were all of our pet peeves.
