Default Sequoia hybrid

Who needs a hybrid?

I now have 6,000 miles on the 2005 Sequoia.
First trip to Fl was about 16.4 and 16.9 best tank.

Here is what I have done, the 32 lbs of air in tires were changed to 38 and than to 40lbs. The truck stays in lane better and really drives a LOT better.

I dumped the gear lube in both axles and replaced with Mobil-1 synthetic gear lube.
I dumped the trans fluid and replaced with Mobil-1 synthetic trans fluid.

The engine has 0W30 Mobil-1 synthetic oil.

The results with combo city and highway driving is.
First tank 20.7 and todays fill-up was 20.2.

Almost forgot added a K&N air filter.

Big difference and will pay for itself shortly.

Dude! Mobil 1 trans fluid is not compatiable with your ride! It uses a new type "WS" fluid or IV fluid.

You better seriously reconsider your trans fluid change. The new tranny in hte '05 uses Toyota's "WS" fluid. As yet, there is no aftermarket compatible fluid for this new type. You will have most certainly voided the warranty on your transmission and you may experience shifting problems because of the differences in viscosity.
I think there is a TSB regarding the exclusive use of the "WS" fluid.

Re, the WS.
Thanks guys I will dump it out tomorrow night.
It did not change the shifting at all but no need to gamble.

You have to do a full flush, not just draining the pan. Do a search on tranny flush.
