Can you add an aux input to the navigation without having the RSE?

Check this thread: http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...era-install/#6

And this page Steve97TT put together: http://www.moreboost.org/sequoia/

You can also connect the XM radio to the RSE ECU as this thread explains for an auxilliary input.

Search around this forum for other ideas for the XM antenna -- there are at least a couple of good options. HTH.

I have the 06 DC Limited with the Nav Unit / JBL setup. I just installed the Vasitech SLX unit. It works like a champ! Sounds great and it was a half hour install. It also has a Aux Input for the MP3 or DVD audio. Only thing is the price at $299 plus the universal XM terk reciever for $19 after rebate but it beats the FM modulator and sounds as good as the CD audio out of the JBL stock audio. BTW, it works with JBL setup with or with out the NAV unit. Checkout the web site http://www.vaistech.com/slx.html

I have a 06 with nav. I was looking for a system to do the same thing. I found a product called gnet_toylexv2, but the company is in canada. They have a video demo on there site & it's a nice setup. I haven't found a distributor in the US yet. google gnet_toylexv2 Hopes this helps

Thumbs up Re: Aux. input for Navigation+RSE

I just want to add that I did the exact install as dominicancake and it was just as he described. I would add that if you have the dvd player mounted in the center console there is an extra 10mm that needs to be removed. it's hidden by a pocket in front of the dvd unit and it just pops out.

dominicancake thanks for the thorough post.

-Craig

I should add that this was in an 05 double cab Tundra limited.

Hey guys - I want to hook up my Creative Zen Vision M this way. Anyone know of an auto kit with a dock connector for this model?

I was wondering if you had any issues with your iPod charging after extended use with the Vaistech adatper. I did an install in my Solara and found my iPod would no longer charge, lucky I had apple care. I am now looking at going back to a Sequioa (hard lesson learned) and live with gas mileage but I would prefer just an Aux input via the headphone jack on the iPod.

Default Re: Aux. input for Navigation+RSE

I know most 1st generation Tundra owners did this mod. years ago but, I'm just now getting around to it. Mostly because a friend just traded his Sequoia in and gave me this exact set-up out of his.

I've got the same JBL/nav/rear DVD system he did. When I plug in the Y connector to the ECU under the ctr. console I have two unused connectors on the Y.
1st question: Should I ?

The only reason I'm asking is because once everything was plugged in I was only getting sound out of the left speakers and the VSE sub.

Can anyone offer any help. My friend doesn't really remember how it was hooked up.

thanks.
