2001 toyota sequoia limited w/jbl amplified system

does anybody know what kind of wiring harness i need to install a stereo (alpine cva-1005) in my car since i have the factory amp?

i currently have a metra 70-8113 toyota/lexus amp sys- toyota amplifier integration harness.

the metra harness has four RCA' s for the front and rear speakers my aftermarket radio dosent have anywhere to connect them to.

i am lookimg at the scosche Part Number: TA03B 2000-UP TOYOTA INTERFACE
this model includes an output converter. the harnes that i have dosent come with one but the instructions say if i need one i can buy one seprate. does anybody know if an output converter is needed or can i just use what i have.

Bump.... I need to know the answer to this. I have searched forever and cannot find a conclusive answer. Do I simply need to splice the 8113 Metra harness into my aftermarket harness and then plug the 8113 into the factory radio harness? There are two amps, do I only need to plug the 8113 into the amp underneath the radio?

well my 01 with jbl had to be rewired... bypassed the factory amps altogether..

If you bypass the amps, I understand that rewiring may be necessary, but the Metra 8113 harness is supposed to integrate the amps. Anyone else have input on this?

i have an 03 sequoia limited and i bought a harness for it. ( don't have it in front of me) but it did not match my factory harness. so what i did was cut the after market harness and soldered each wire to it's corresponding wire on the factory harness. i also had rca plugs as well. it gets really tricky with them because of the shielding wire around them needs to be hooked up to and you don't get much wire unless you cut down a good ways into the wire. this setup i did integrated my factory amps with my radio. so it can be done. it all works but my only down fall is i have a small ground hum that i have yet to locate. i thought it may have been the shielding. does anybody have any suggestions where to look? also the mute wire on the factory harness is for changing modes while the mute on my radio harness is for muting the radio when receiving phone calls with blue tooth. I have a kenwood ddx 6019. i hope any of this helps.

I have 01 with JBL and I bought that harness and it doesn't match at all. So end up hard wiring my Pioneer DVD/Nav to the stock harness.

Do all Sequoia's have amplifiers? I have an '01 SR5 but don't see the JBL moniker anywhere. The system acts as if it does have amps but I don't know how to tell.

Okie dokie then. What I did was pull the radio and saw my head unit uses two separate plugs, one 10-pin and one 6-pin. That means it is an unamplified system. If it had a 20-pin plug then the system would be amplified and that 20pin plug would go to the factory amp.

I just installed a Pioneer in dash DVD unit and got the wiring harness plug from Crutchfield for around $13.00. Im not sure if it the same plug but it did connect to the JBL harness and I only had to connect a few wires. Just call them or look for your headunit on their site and you might find the accessories needed to quickly connect everything up.
