Just visited the stealer. Sure enough inner CV boot spraying grease. I have a Revtek lift on this truck, they told me to take it off. I calmly said 'ha'.
Question's are: Will the ball joint recall affect this boot?
Revtek claimmed the angle was safe for CV boot wear??
I may have tore it over articulating, is that possible?
And finally, $650 for both inner and out boot repalcement....I thought I'd have them fix the boot while doing the ball joint recall, whould that save me $ ?
I signed up for this thing for help, hopefully you boys can give me some support, thanks.
Matt

I can't comment on the ball joint issue, however overarticulating . Your vehicle along with any other 4x4 should have some way to limit suspension travel. These can include shocks or bumpstops. My Isuzu Rodeo was limited by the shocks and bumpstops. My 05 Sequoia from looking around has bumpstops, and is also possibly limited by the front shocks. Especially on a independent suspension, the engineers know they have to limit front travel so you don't ie. tear a boot or blow a cv joint through excessive suspension travel. It is also the dealerships responsibility to show that your modification caused the failure, not just say oh darn you lifted it your fault (Moss-Magnuson consumer protection act). You might consider measuring the suspension travel of a stock unit and then measure yours and see how much difference there is if any, then head back to the dealer.
Was grease coming from the sides of the boots or were the boots actually split open along the fins. If it's just coming out of the sides, replace the clamps with some hose clamps you can purchase from your hardware store. The wear on the boots will happen at any height more than stock. For some sooner than others. On my tundra, I had stock boots with 2.5" of lift with no tear in the boots. Only had to replace one hose clamp.
$650 You can probably get some new CV shafts and installed for that price. As far as saving money, possibly not, because you don't have to remove/disconnect the ball joint to remove the cv shaft.
If you don't mind getting your hands dirty and you have time, do the boot replacement yourself or have another toyota shop or off road shop do it for a cheaper price.
It looks like it is come from around the clamps. The passenger side had more grease sprayed than the driver side. I wiped it all off and will see if anymore comes out. I don't off road often but I was in some back woods while bow hunting. Is it possible that the grease came out for a short spurt while over articualting? Maybe it will be fine while road driving?
Thanks for all the help so far!

It's possible. If the fins aren't busted, change the clamps. Before you change the clamps, it would be a good idea to refill the boot with some more grease. However, I'm sure there's still a lot in there.
I thought thats what you meant. I see no tears or splits on the fins anywhere. As I said it seems to have come out past the clamps. I wiped it down last nite, if there isn't any grease there in a week, I am going to assume it's fine.
Does the boot and clamp spin with the shaft?
