Default temp sensor reading high ?

Now that it is cold outside, I have noticed that the temp sensor in the overhead consol reads high after being parked in the garage. If it is 35 deg. outside, 45 deg. in the garage, the display will be reading 85+ .......

Where is this sensor located ? Once the truck is started and driven for a while it eventually starts to read correct. Is this tied to the auto climate control ?

There is some sort of heat sink effect when parked, either inside or out. The climate control reacts to this bogus reading at first but it corrects rapidly. Just a strange little quirk.
