Thumbs up Re: rear hitch cargo rack?

    tundrastorm,

Sounds neat. But shipping from AL to STL MO would be the $$$. Harbour Freight has one at their store for cheap. But, I am interested in getting one big enough for carrying that 10 Point Buck back. Let me know.

shipping might be a little pricey, couldnt be too bad though....especially since you're saving on the overhead...and i guess since i'm doing all the in-house fabricating, i could build it to fit the customer requirements...

a 10-pointer sure would look nice on one though!

load distributed probably looking at 500lbs. max for safety sake, in about a 20"x 60" application, with about a 2 inch raised rail...

Question Re: rear hitch cargo rack?

    tundrastorm,

Looking at Harbor Freight Tools advertisement for the two stores located around St. Louis. They have a sale that ends on April 12, 2006. In the sale is a Haul-Master, Lot Number 92655 with a 500 pound weight capacity, aluminum anodized construction for $59.99 (in other words = $60.00). This is a 20% savings from the regular price of $74.99. I do not have the dimensions given in the advertisement.

I assume that the whole information on the dimensions is available via http://www.HarborFreightusa.com .

Let, me know what you think of this. I have not bought one yet.

    In advance, thanks.

both cargo hitch racks look equally impressive...the anodized aluminum saves you roughly 25lbs over the steel rack, but both are somewhere along the lines of what i have in mind...the price is just right also!! $60 shipped cant be beat, its like paying 30 for the product then another 30 for shipping! incredible....i guess i'm more along the lines of building to suit ya know?
