Okay.. I'm getting a set of 18" BBS TRD wheels. (Actually I got them a few months ago thru ebay.. but were damaged.. scratched and chipped)... anyways, I'm getting insurance money from it to fix them....
So... I'm gonna powder coat them either black or silver (both with clear)... Any suggestions... anyone good with photoshop?
I have seen a couple Sequoia's with 18's that do look small. Although I have had 20's on my Sequoia.. and I'm not too fond of the ride. So my solution is to get larger tires. Basically the maximum size you can put (without lift and wheel well mods).. I'm planning on putting 285/60/18
I still have my 20's (DEEEP SIX).. so I guess I can always put them back on if the 18's still look small.
Since they are 18" wheels, you'll want them to stand out and keep a TRD aftermarket look, powder-coat them silver. If you are going for a blacked-out look then all black it is.
If you replace them with 20" or wider, powder-coating the center is a nice idea with the deep lips polished. Good luck in any case.
I thought about the two toned too, but yeah, with 18's i'm gonna do one color.
Plus the TRD BBS 18's don't have a great place to separate the black from the silver lip
I don't want to ruin the look of the DEEP SIX by changing them.. I love them just the way they are.
HMM.. still debating. I have about another week before I drop of the 18's to get powder coated... anyone with good Photoshop skills wanna help... I can get any pics if you need them.
EDIT: BTW.. thanks all for the input. Keep them coming
How much was the estimate to have your rims powder coated?? b'coz the chrome on my rims is starting to chip away damn manufacturer's warranty is only good for 1 year no wonder they stop making my rims

I found a place in Walnut Creek... they quoted me $65-75 per wheel. (depends on the wheel size and design)... if you wanna hook up and do yours too.. I'm sure they'll give a discount.
