Default vsc light, trac light, and check engine light came on in my 01 Sequoia

Last week the vsc, trac, and check engine lights came on in my 2001 Sequoia. Along with the lights I noticed that my vehicle's idle was low. After about 100 miles the lights went off but the vehicle's idle was still low. Well a few days later my sequoia started stalling out and the lights came back on. Any clue what might be going on here? Any help or suggesstions would be greatly appreciated.

Well, without pulling the codes (the OBD reader is your friend), it's all guesswork, but you might have a vacuum leak (a hose came loose, etc.) Before hauling in to your friendly neighborhood mechanic, give a listen for any abnormal hissing noises in the engine compartment.

I would go to my friendly Autozone and have them read the code for free.....then decide what to do...once you have the error code....

Good luck,

Scott
