Default Transmission dipstick...

The other day I was prodding around the engine compartment (after wash and wax) just to check fluids etc. I didn't know the Seq. doesn't have a tranny dipstick (or I couldn't find it). Looked in the OM, and didn't see it...

Am I going nuts, or the Truck just doesn't have a way to check tranny fluid..

Yes it does. It is yellow, labelled and toward the back of the engine near the firewall (passenger side).

I noticed this as well but I think it was moved further back on the later models (07) with the 5 speed transmission.

'05 and newer were running the new WS fluid and NO they did not have a dipstick to check it. Only way to check is to pull the fill plug while up on a lift or similiar. Do a search for the topics on it.

07 does not have a dipstick for tranny. One less thing to worry about.
