so i just got a remote for my 01 sequoia and called the dealer and they want $100 to do it! i have read on here that they take 3 min to do and that the dealer usually doesnt charge. Consequently i was wondering if it is possible to do myself? If so does anyone have the directions on how to do it? Thanks in advance.
I just purchased a 2002 Sequoia SR5 with 55K miles from a wholesale lot. It came with two keys and two keyless entry fobs. One fob works fine, but the other one (the more used of the two) had no battery. I went to my local Toyota dealership, but they didn't have the battery to fit it. I purchased the correct battery at Wal*Mart, but the foib still doesn't work. The two fobs look the same, but have different FCC id's. The working fob is ELVATD0 and the other one is ELVAT1B. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
I lost the remote to my '06 Sequoia. Can I take an extra from our '09 Tacoma and program it to the Sequoia? If so how? I've tried instructions listed for 2004 sequoia but it doesn't work.

On any Toyota remote fob there is a FCC frequency number on it that has to match that same frequency on that vehicles ECU receiver.

If a combo of all these whizz bangs met their claims you'd have to siphon gas out of your tank every second day and sell the excess horsepower on the third????
If your engine doesn't consume ANY oil it will seize???
Some people should not be allowed access to tools without books!!!
