    Thumbs up 100k Miles!!!

my sequoia hit 100k miles yesterday and i'm loving it as much as i did when it had 3 miles on it!! big deal for me because of the 8 cars that i've owned in the past i've never kept one this long. never wanted too either, but the sequoia's a keeper!

haven't really had any major issues with it either. i can actually list the issues that i've had....two broken rear hatch straps, a few CD errors on the original headunit, misaligned driver's door window, a couple of burnt out bulbs behind the homelink and HVAC controls, brakes replaced 4 times (approx every 25k ), a small tear in the driver's seat leather, and that's about it <knock on wood>

i've abused the interior, so it's doesn't look that great, but not horrible. just needs a little TLC and honestly it would have looked a lot better if i had taken better care of it. three kids and a lot of road trips did it's damage.

btw, i just changed the original wiper blades today. i guess it's true...it never rains in southern california. i'm also on my original tires (YES MY ORIGINAL TIRES) but i did have some aftermarket tires/wheels on for about 40k miles in between. oh and if all goes well, i should have some new rims/tires tomorrow!

anyways, i hope you all enjoy your sequoia as much as i have from years to come!!

Congrats, Chris. Mine got 80K already but still drive like new....the only thing that annoys me is the creaking sunroof.

When is the new tire and wheel will be put on?

Let me know so that I could check it out...

    thanks allan!

there's a tire shop in OC that has the tires in stock for pretty cheap, so hopefully they could squeeze me in. i'll swing by your pad one of these weekends to drop off your spanner wrench and you could check out the rims!

oh and thanks for always looking out for good deals for me!

I wanted to wait until I'd actually done it, but I passed the 100K today as well. Almost drove off the road watching the numbers as they changed. Aside from the A/C compressor and an inordinate appetite for brakes, this truck is as sound as the day I bought it.
